Festival History

MozHell Open Air was born of a simple idea:
to offer the Moselle department a metal festival on a par with the big international stages.

Tired of having to travel miles to live our passion, we decided to create a local event that would bring metal fans together and enhance our region.

After organizing several concerts in 2023, the festival was launched in 2024 with headliners such as Landmvrks and Rise of the Northstar, and quickly established itself as a not-to-be-missed event. With each edition, we write a new page in this adventure, with ever more music, sharing and unforgettable moments.

MozHell is much more than a festival, it's a story of passion and community.

Prequel Show

Before the 1st Mozhell Open Air Festival, we organized a Prequel Show evening.

On November 10, 2023, in Sareguemines (France), we inaugurated our first metal evening, serving as an introduction to the future festival planned for in July 2024. The aim was to present our universe and concept, and demonstrate the association's ambitions.

This first evening was a great success, allowing us to create a community around our big festival project. We were able to prove our ability to organize and manage an event, transport the public and bring a community together.

The evening welcomed Camo, a local band, Ianwill, an up-and-coming group, Kamizol-K, the winning band of the Hellfest 2023 springboard, and Dagoba, an iconic French band with a 26-year history.

This line-up reflects the values of our association, combining local representation with the essential pillars of the music scene.

Ahead of the festival

We organized the “Chill and Sun” event in 2023 in Sarreguemines (France).

The aim was to offer free activities and diverse local musical performances for the whole family in Sarreguemines. On its final day, we succeeded in attracting 1,000 people.
